What is Snow Powder
Snow Powder is a patented synthetic polymer
with super, water-absorbing properties
designed
to expand up to 100 times its original volume. Just by adding water,
you can turn Snow Powder into a white, fluffy substance that looks and
feels like real snow.
Its the only artificial snow available
today that
erupts when water is added. Snow Powder is so realistic that
it can be added to real snow and you wont notice the difference. Snow
Powder is now being used in indoor snowboarding parks throughout the world

Is Snow Powder Reusable?
Yes, using Snow Powder
you can
make snow again and again. Just add water to make the snow and

Q.

Will the artificial snow ever melt?
No, the artificial snow will not melt since it is not really ice.
However, the water can be released from the snow by adding salt. The
addition of salt destroys the water absorbing properties of Snow Powder
forever, so remember, if you want to use and reuse your Snow Powder,
it's best not to add salt. |

Do I have to use Snow Powder
on a
special surface?
No, Snow Powder can be used on almost any surface, though it's not
recommended for untreated wood. Keep the snow off of any surface that
you might believe could be damaged by water. Surfaces
that are ideal include tile, plastic and glass.
Snow
Powder
will not stain fabric, but
normal
care should be taken when applying this water-based material.
Customer recommendations for contained use of Snow Powder includes the
following:
-
One customer from Hawaii recently purchased twenty boxes of Snow
Powder. They said they were going to fill a small plastic
swimming pool (the type available in most stores), then let all the
children play in the snow. Sounded great to us.
-
Another customer said she pours the snow into the bathtub, lets her
daughter play in the snow, then scoops it up and keeps it in a plastic
zip-lock bag until the next time her daughter wants to play.
-
Then there's the creative decorating tips. Many customers simply
fill bowls, a lovely glass vase or other glass containers with snow,
then add pine cones, colorful marbles, glitter, and all sorts of other
things, to create a decorative display, then they encourage friends
and family to play in the snow.

Can Snow Powder
be disposed of in the trash?
Snow Powder is very easy to clean up and if you decide you don't want
to reuse it next year, or feel you'd like to buy a new box next year, it
can be disposed of in the trash. Just brush the surface clean or
use a vacuum to pick up the snow. Eventually the hydrated snow
will turn back into the dry powder and can be easily swept or vacuumed.
Snow Powder is a non-toxic, environmentally safe polymer

Is Snow Powder
safe for outside use?
Yes! Snow Powder looks so real that it is being used by special effects
artists in movies to create snow for outdoor winter scenes without
damaging the plants and grass. Sprinkle the hydrated snow on evergreen
trees to produce a realistic snow effect. In fact, the water
absorbing properties of the snow are actually beneficial to the plants,
as Snow Powder will insure timely release and absorption of water
moisture to the plants. Remember, Snow Powder is very slippery
when wet. Use special care to keep the snow off any walking
surface.

Why does Snow Powder
feel cold to the touch?
Once made, the
snow is almost entirely made up of water, and as you can expect, water
evaporates in time. The process of evaporation produces a
constant cooling effect. Thats why its so much fun to touch ! |

Q.

How long will hydrated
snow made from Snow Powder last?
The snow you've made using Snow Powder
will begin to dehydrate after a few days due to evaporation (which, by
the way, is also the reason Snow Powder feels cold to the touch). Just
spray the top of the snow with water and fluff the snow with your
fingers to restore its fresh, fluffy look. You can also let the snow
completely dry out, back to its powder form, then use it again. The dry
form (the powder) of Snow Powder will last forever !

What is the best way to
make Snow using Snow Powder?
Adding 2 ounces of room temperature water to 1 teaspoon of Snow Powder
produces the best quality artificial snow. It is always recommended to
make the snow in small quantities to achieve the best results. Snow
Powder expands 100 times its original volume. Just a small amount of
powder is needed to make an impressive quantity of snow. On a much
larger scale, 1 pound of Snow Powder makes nearly 8 gallons of fluffy
snow.

Are there
fakes and imitations on the market? Are they safe?
Beware of imitations:
Snow Powder is the only powder that expands instantly without mixing,
stirring or waiting for long periods of time. The snow you get from Snow
Powder is soft, fluffy, fun to touch and most importantly, safe. Snow
Powder is the only expanding powder that was tested and found to be
non-toxic, safe and biodegradable. There are Toxic powders that are sold as
Snow Powder, and should not be touched with bare hands.
How
to identify a fake Snow Product:
1. With
Snow Powder just add water and get instant snow. There is NO
stirring, NO shaking and NO mixing involved. If you
need to mix, shake, stir, or gradually add water to a powder - its
a FAKE.
2. Snow
Powder expands 100 times of its original size within 2 seconds. If it
takes longer than 2 seconds to expand using room temperature water, or
if it hardly expands - its a FAKE.
Snow Powder creates soft fluffy white snow. Other
products give you wet, soggy slush - they are
FAKE
